Heat Shrinkable Creepage Extension Sheds are manufactured from high quality cross linked polyolefin material that offer exceptional non tracking behavior, insulation and long term service reliability. They possess advantageous physical properties, excellent aging stability and very good resistance against chemicals. Due to its excellent combination of properties as an inbuilt character of the base polymer, find proven applications in electrical segment of industries.

Creepage Extension Sheds

Heat shrinkable Creepage Extension Sheds (CES) are used to increase the surface creepage distance of the protected cores of cable terminations without increasing the tail length.

Heat Shrinkable Strain Relief Sheds (SRS) are used to restrict the cable cores from over bending, thus protecting the PILC Outdoor Terminations from damages near the crutch area.

The following are few typical applications where these extension sheds are used:

  • As an integral part of Heat Shrinkable terminations upto 72 kv voltage class for Indoor & outdoor application where they provide extension to creepage path of the cores of the cable terminations.
  • To provide extension creepage length and to avoid continuity during rainy season and to avoid short circuiting of the electrical net words as case to case bases as per system requirement.
